The Commitments

Yes, the rumours are true! The Commitments are back together for a 20th anniversary tour to celebrate the critically acclaimed movie. The re-assembled cast including Andrew Strong, Robert Arkins, Bronagh Gallagher, Angeline Ball, Glen Hansard and the rest with the exception of Maria Doyle Kennedy, will perform various live shows throughout Ireland in 2011.

Tickets for all shows are on sale from October 15^th through Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide. A donation from every ticket sold will go to the Irish Cancer Society with a goal of raising €30,000.

Here is the list of dates and venues you can catch The Commitments performing in this coming March:

Monday 14th March 2011 – The Royal Theatre, Castlebar, Co. Mayo
Tuesday 15th March 2011 – INEC, Killarney, Co. Kerry
Thursday 17th March 2011 – The Odyssey Arena, Belfast
Saturday 19th March 2011 – The O2, Dublin

You can expect to hear all the hits from the movie soundtrack including Mustang Sally, Try a Little Tenderness, The Dark End of The Street and much more! Music Scene will be right up the front for these shows.
