The Competition
The Competition are a four piece rock band hailing from Dublin, Ireland. Formed in 2008, the line includes Ann-Marie Kennedy (Vocals), Karl Sheridan (Bass) and Stephen Kennedy (Guitars & Vocals). The Competition came to fruition when Stephen Kennedy’s previous cover band, ‘And Then There Were Two…’ finished in late 2007. Stephen was eager to get gigging heavily again and so, called upon a friend, who was looking to get back into the music industry after an extensive break. The two began rehearsing in the late months of 2007. The band expanded in January ’08 and The Competition became the band that is known today. Neil Craven from Irish rock band ‘Doris’ is currently playing drums and percussion with The Competition. Up to this point the band was predominantly a cover act but they have now started working on writing and arranging original material with a new determined outlook. The Competition are currently working on their debut album.
