Matt Cardle wins X Factor 2010!

Dec 12, 2010 1 Comment by Musicscene

The winner of X Factor 2010 has come a long way and with this years live final taken place on Sunday, it was the extremely talented Matt Cardle who was crowned king. He fought off extremely tough competition from One Direction and Rebecca Ferguson but his nerves failed to get the better of him and he held his head high while being confirmed as the contestant who receives the winning prize of a £1 Million record deal. His brand new single ‘When We Collide’ will be released just in time for the Christmas charts which will more than likely result in a number 1 position in both the UK and Ireland. Over 20 million people tuned in to watch the final on Sunday and thus, setting a new record for X Factor viewers.

All three finalists had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the worlds biggest boyband – Take That, when they joined in for a live rendition of there hit single ‘Never Forget’ which was pretty explosive and very entertaining. It was a tense night and it was sad to see One Direction being the first to leave the final three as they really seem to have gathered quite a following since they formed at the judges houses this year. No doubt we will all hear of them again. Rebecca Ferguson has something to be proud of with reaching the final two and this fine scouser will definitely go on to sell a lot of records, regardless of finishing second.

Music Scene wishes every single finalist this year the very best and we really hope that they all head on to become very successful. We look forward to seeing Simon Cowell, Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh next year.
