Enter Shikari have announced details of an exclusive headline performance at The Academy of Middle Abbey Street in Dublin on October 10th 2011. Tickets priced from €25 including booking fee will be on sale from Wednesday June 22nd through Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and www.ticketmaster.ie
Please note that this is an all-ages show, under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult and no-alcohol will be served at the bar.
In May of this year, just for the sheer hell of it, Enter Shikari released a brand new stand-alone single ‘Quelle Surprise’. This release did not herald the arrival of album #3, or coincide with any live dates. It was finished, and everyone was so excited by it, that the general consensus was that it was better placed in fans’ hands than gathering dust on a disc in the office for the waiting for the ‘right’ time to release it.
‘Quelle Surprise’ was initially released as a digital only single, as part of an EP that will also include two remixes of ‘Destabilise’ plus a version of live favourite ‘Hectic’ recorded at the Enter Shikari Christmas Party show in Hertfordshire back in December. A limited edition, 2×7″ (one red vinyl, one white vinyl) pack of the EP will be released on Friday 8th July.
With all this talk of how amazing Enter Shikari’s live shows are we are delighted to announce that after two years the band are about to get back out of the road, taking in venues all over the UK and an Irish headline show at The Academy, Dublin on Monday October 10th. While there’s been the occasional burst of home turf activity – four headline dates in February 2010 (which resulted in the Blackpool Empress Ballroom’s roof falling in, and ended with the band’s biggest headline show to date at London’s 5000 capacity Hammersmith Apollo), or the stint with 30 Seconds To Mars around the arenas and sheds in December 2010 – this will be proper “get in the bus and go the length and breadth of the island, playing a full set and being allowed use of the showers” type touring.
