The Carphone Warehouse are delighted to announce The Experimental Sessions, a brand new series of viral videos showcasing music apps and tablets. Featuring Jape, The Original Rudeboys, The Infomatics & more to be announced, this series of short videos visits the artists in their own studios as they discover and create new ways to make music using Android tablets.
The videos are available on The Carphone Warehouse’s online channels – carphonewarehouse.ie, Facebook, Twitter and You Tube now with a brand new artist uploaded weekly. All of the artists will be playing at Castlepalooza Music Festival from July 29th-31st where The Carphone Warehouse will have a courtyard for revellers to see the artists and the Motorola Xooms in action.
The idea for The Experimental Sessions came from the recent opening of the Wireless World Store in Mahon Point, Cork, where Irish Hip Hop duo The Expert and Stephen Gunn used the 2 Motorola Xoom Tablets with Uloops studio pro and drum machines to create a new kind of performance.
The Expert and Stephen Gunn from The Infomatics played a set using music apps on the Motorola Xoom tablet can be seen here:
The Original Rudeboys used with a combination of acoustic guitar and ukulele blended with soulful and hip-hop voices. Following on from a weekend of gigs in The Academy, The Original Rudeboys will be playing at many festivals this Summer, including Castlepalooza of course.
