Does Noel Gallagher regret leaving Oasis?

Aug 18, 2011 1 Comment by Musicscene

It looks like the never ending feud between members of Oasis is still showing no signs of becoming a thing of the past anytime soon! Andy Bell has hit out at Noel Gallagher regarding his recent comments about the band splitting up. At a recent interview in Japan, Andy Bell stated:

“B*llocks! Noel has lied about a lot of things. The argument about Pretty Green was pure lies, what he said about V Festival and the fake laryngitis situation was lies – I don’t know, maybe he’s convinced that’s the truth. I don’t know what goes on in his head. I know him well, so I’m not disappointed. That’s what he’s like unfortunately. I know how he spins the press. He’s used the press for years. Interviews and press are secondary for us, that’s his life.”

Now Noel Gallagher has started to show some doubt about his drastic decision to leave the band in 2009 commenting on the situation by saying it is something he regrets. Speaking to Absolute Radio, Noel stated:

“I must admit it was a hasty decision, and we could maybe have all gone off and done other things for a few years. In my own head the 2015, 20-year anniversary of ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory’ is looming and we could have probably come back, made a new studio album and played that album in its entirety and gone and been the greatest thing ever, but there you go.”

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will embark on their highly anticipated debut live shows this October – performing their first ever concert date at The Olympia Theatre of Dame Street in Dublin on the 23rd of October 2011. The Dublin show will be Noel Gallagher‘s first ever live set with the High Flying Birds, debuting solo material as well as many Oasis tracks and surely this promises to be a momentous evening. Tickets for The Olympia Theatre concert date are completely sold out!
