Asking Alexandria is an established English post-hardcore/metalcore band from York, North Yorkshire. Founded when rhythm guitarist Ben Bruce contacted old friends after moving back to England from Dubai, the current line-up consists of Bruce, vocalist Danny Worsnop, lead guitarist Cameron Liddell, bass guitarist Sam Bettley and drummer James Cassells.
Hailing from the United Kingdom, Asking Alexandria have broken out of the underground music scene with a sound that is both heavy and hard-hitting, yet catchy and melodic. The band released their debut album, ‘Stand Up and Scream’ in 2009 and spent the next year touring relentlessly and making their mark on the hardcore scene with fists pumping.
The boys are back with their second album ‘Reckless & Relentless’ which was released earlier in the year. Asking Alexandria debuted two stomping tunes ‘Closure’ and ‘Someone, Somewhere’ on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The Academy show will be their only appearance in Ireland in 2012.
