Fresh from one of the standout performances at Electric Picnic 2011, the band behind ‘Pumped Up Kicks’, one of the biggest songs of the Summer, Foster The People will play their first Irish headline show performing live at The Academy in Dublin on November 28th 2011. Tickets for this show are priced from €19.00 inclusive of booking fee are will be on sale from Thursday the 8th of September 2011 through Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide. Foster The People are a Californian indie pop band are comprised of Mark Foster, Mark Pontius and Cubbie Fink. They shot up the US Billboard charts with their hit debut single ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ which reached #1 in the Billboard Alternative Songs chart and #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and Rock Songs charts achieving platinum status.  The song was also recently nominated for two MTV VMA’s for Best New Artist and Best Rock Video.

Their debut album Torches, also released earlier this Summer, was also a Top 10 hit on the Billboard 200 album charts. Foster The People have also had massive success in the Irish Charts throughout throughout 2011.
