2011 has seen Royseven dominate the Irish airwaves with solid summer anthems such as ‘We Should Be Lovers’ and ‘Dance’, the former having spent a total of eight months in the Top 40 and clocked up a colossal 200,000 views on YouTube. Their second album “You Say, We Say” went straight in at #1 to the album charts in August and has received excellent critical acclaim. Their album was produced by Andreas Herbig, one of Europe’s most respected and successful producers who has accumulated sales of over 80 million units on his work with both rock and pop artists. He has produced over thirty #1 singles and is the current holder of the Best Production Team Award from the German Echo’s (Brit/Meteors equivalent).
The success of their album lead to a hectic touring schedule over the summer which saw them performing at Oxegen, and headlining sets at Sea Sessions, Marlay Park with The Coronas, Rose of Tralee, Clonakilty Festival and Brayfest. The boys also opened for Kaiser Chiefs at their recent Olympia Theatre show and supported One Republic on their German tour. The band was honoured when their single ‘Dance’ was made the official soundtrack to Arthur’s Day 2011. Royseven continue to split their time between Ireland and Germany, as they gear up for the release of their album overseas.
With a new record, a new attitude and a new set of muscles to flex, Royseven are ready for whatever comes their way. See them play live for the first time live at The Academy main room on Friday the 25th of November 2011.
