Hope is the preserve of the foolish and the brave, the light at the end of the tunnel and the ball and chain that leaves reality inescapable. The Blackout have called their third album ‘Hope’, it was released it to rave reviews earlier this year. The Welsh pop-brusiers warned fans the album sounds exceptionally killer – at ear bleeding volume. After splitting with their last record label, the band made the latest album with producer Jason Perry (McFly, KIGH), they funded it themselves and worked hard to ensure it was true representation of their sound. ‘Hope’ can definitely be described as the work of a band reenergised and ready to rock again!
The band signed with Cooking Vinyl (Prodigy, Marilyn Manson) on a worldwide deal at the beginning of 2011, The Blackout are now looking forward to leaping to the next level with a label that shares their independent-minded philosophy and one which was enthusiastic about ‘Hope’ from the very beginning. The Blackout are set to release the Welsh wrath once again.
See the band perform live at The Academy in Dublin on Saturday the 17th of December 2011.
