The Plea have spent the past few months making waves across the festival circuit with their infectious sound of soaring guitar rifts and lavish beats. At the heart of The Plea are the Doherty brothers Denny and Dermot who hail from the small town of Ballyliffen, County Donegal. They are joined by drummer Gerry Strawbridge and bassist Paul Toland. The band have been busy in the studio and have just finished recording their debut album with Chris Potter (The Verve, The Rolling Stones, U2) which will be released in 2012.
The band have already honed their musical talent and sound, having spent a time performing in America and a year in Minnesota recording a big budget studio album with a major American record label, which unfortunately was never released. The Plea went back to their roots and put together a whole new batch of material which quickly drew immediate interest from the founders of legendary Belgian, dance label R&S Records. The band have now found an amazing creative match with their record label and are just getting started.
