Canadian singer-song writer Kathleen Edwards has officially announced that she will be performing live on stage at The Academy 2 of Middle Abbey Street in Dublin for a very special show on Thursday the 23rd of February 2012. Kathleen Edwards returns to Ireland with a headlining tour to follow the release of her new album ‘Voyageur’ due out January 2012. Voyageur is the highly anticipated album which was co-produced by Bon Ivor maestro Justin Vernon. Her current single ‘Wapusk’, which is taken from the forthcoming album features vocals from Vernon.
‘Voyageur’ is Kathleen’s first full-length album since 2008’s acclaimed release, ‘Asking For Flowers’, which The New York Times praised as “tuneful and observant”, Rolling Stone called “…poignant…fierce…”- which reached No 1 in Billboard’s Top Heatseekers Chart in the US. Her releases also include 2005’s ‘Back to Me’ and 2003’s acclaimed debut album ‘Failer’.
Kathleen Edwards is a talented musician and has played with the likes of Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, John Mayer, John Mellencamp, Neil Young, Dave Matthews and Wilco. Kathleen Edwards is currently on tour with Bon Iver in the UK.
