When Red Hot Chili Peppers take to the Croke Park stage in June, it will be 20 years since they made their Irish concert debut with a live performance at the SFX in Dublin on the 7th of March 1992. From that point, an unrivalled love affair blossomed between the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Irish music fans. In 2003 they returned to play a headline concert in front of a sold out capacity crowd of 80,000+ fans at the legendary concert venue of Slane Castle in Meath. This concert was so special that the band decided to release it on DVD, entitled Red Hot Chili Peppers – Live At Slane. Then in 2004 the band made Irish concert history when they played to the biggest ever audience at the Phoenix Park in Dublin before a staggering 110,000 screaming fans!

I’m With You is the band’s first new album since the two-set Stadium Arcadium – their first Number One album on the Los Angeles quartet’s home turf. The album spawned three Number One Modern Rock hits: “Dani California”, “Tell Me Baby,” and “Snow (Hey Oh).” To support Stadium Arcadium, the Chili Peppers played to millions of fans around the world throughout 2007, including sold-out arena tours of Ireland, Europe and North America, appearances at the Fuji Festival in Japan and Live Earth in London, and headlining slots at Lollapalooza in Chicago, and the Leeds and Reading Festivals in the U.K.

One of the most successful acts in rock history, Red Hot Chili Peppers have sold more than 60 million albums, including five multi-platinum LPs, and won six Grammy Awards, including “Best Rock Album” for Stadium Arcadium, “Best Rock Performance By a Duo or Group” for “Dani California,” “Best Rock Song” for “Scar Tissue,” and “Best Hard Rock Performance With Vocal” for “Give It Away.”
