Good news for Killers fans out there! In an interview with BBC 1′s Zane Lowe on January 4th 2012, Killers frontman Brandon Flowers confirmed that the band are back in the studio working on the follow up to their (very average / disappointing) ‘Day & Age’ LP. After being on hiatus for the past two years while allowing members to work on their solo projects, Brandon Flowers stated: “There will definitely be a new Killers record coming out in 2012, it’s just whether it’s in summer time or the winter time, that’s up for debate.”

“We’re just kind of in the factory, working. We’ve written a lot of songs, but they aren’t completely finished yet.”

On another note, hardcore Killers fans will be delighted to start talking about song titles and Brandon mentioned one track in particular: “There’s one track called ‘Battle Born’ and it’s definitely the pillar of the record.”

Let’s hope they go back to their ‘Hot Fuss’ roots this time though.
