The Original Rudeboys debut album ‘This Life’ out Friday March 23rd 2012.
The Original Rudeboys will kick off their 2012 campaign with the release of a brand new single entitled ‘Travelling Man’. ‘Travelling Man’ was co-written and produced by the hotter-than-hot Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, Wiley) and gives fans a tantalizing taste of the on-the-horizon Original Rudeboys debut album.
The Original Rudeboys had an extraordinary first year, breaking out of nowhere as a quartet of cool YouTube clips propelled them to cult status among Irish teens. Viewing figures on their YouTube channel are now well in excess of 750,000! Not bad for a band who didn’t release a record until October 2011.
The Original Rudeboys‘ debut single entitled ‘Stars In My Eyes’ (click here to read review) – peaked at # 3 on iTunes, and earned them new fans both online and in the media. On the live scene, the band go from strength to strength. Having played at Oxegen last summer (2011), the band headlined sell out shows at The Sugar Club and The Workman’s Club in Dublin; and recently enjoyed stellar support slots with The Game, Sinead O’Connor and Damien Dempsey.
‘Travelling Man’ is supported by a superb A To B remix, plus two brand new non album tracks: another Jake Gosling collaboration ‘Feel The Same’ and the acoustic heartbreaker ‘The Last Goodbye’. 4 top drawer tracks for the mere recession busting price of €3, real life music at a real life price.
‘Travelling Man’ by The Original Rudeboys will be released in Ireland on 4 track CD and download on Gotta Run Records (through Rubyworks / PIAS) on Friday the 9th of March 2012.
The Original Rudeboys are: Rob: the singing and the guitar, Neddy: the rhymes, Walshy: the ukulele.
