Beady Eye to start performing some Oasis tracks live!
Liam Gallagher has confirmed that Beady Eye will be performing some Oasis songs within their tour setlist this Summer. Since their inception, Beady Eye have taken to the stage with their own material while not associating themselves with Oasis. Although they do have some belters including ‘The Roller’, ‘Millionaire’, ‘Four Letter Word’ and ‘The Beat Goes On’, frontman Liam Gallagher feels that the time is right to sink his snarling vocal back into some Oasis tracks on stage.
Speaking to XFM earlier this week regarding performing some Oasis material with Beady Eye, Liam Gallagher stated:
“We’re doing Fuji Festival in Japan, which is in July. And we will be dropping Oasis songs for anyone who’s bothered. The time is right now, without a doubt. We were always going to do it, but we thought the Beady Eye album needed to stand on its own. We’ve done some good gigs, we’ve done some shit gigs, and it’s time to drop them in now. Sure everyone else is. I feel they’re just as much my songs as they are Noel’s. And if people don’t like it, go to the bar or fuck off. If they do like it, jump up and down, let’s have a good time.”
If they don’t – fans will have to settle for some of the following:
Songbird
Hung In A Bad Place
Born On A Different Cloud
Better Man
Turn Up The Sun
The Meaning Of Soul
A Bell Will Ring
Keep The Dream Alive
Ain’t Got Nothin’
I’m Outta Time
To Be Where There’s Life
Let’s hope Beady Eye bag a slot as support act for The Stone Roses Phoenix Park gig this July!
