On Wednesday the 23rd of May 2012, The Stone Roses performed together for the first time in 16 years at a secret gig in Warrington Parr Hall. The intimate show which was announced on the day via The Stone Roses official website, was a free show for fans who could collect their tickets by 4pm from the Warrington Pyramid Box Office (next to the actual venue). It was a first come, first serve basis, but in order to qualify for a ticket, fans needed to take a piece of Stone Roses memorabilia with them – anything from an inlay cover or band T-shirt to a Heaton Park ticket, just to confirm their love for the Manchester legends. The response was phenomenal, and even Liam Gallagher attended the show to watch one of his favourite bands re-unite on stage.

With plenty of YouTube footage floating about online today, The Stone Roses performed the following 11 track setlist for their fans at the 1,500 capacity venue:

I Wanna Be Adored
Mersey Paradise
Sally Cinnamon
Made Of Stone
(Song For My) Sugar Spun Sister
Where Angels Play
Shoot You Down
Tightrope
Waterfall
She Bangs The Drums
Love Spreads

Roll on Phoenix Park in Dublin this Summer – It’s gonna be a cracker!
