Adam Clayton paid a visit to Dublin Circuit Criminal Court yesterday (June 6th 2012) for a trial against his former personal assistant, Carol Hawkins, who is accused of stealing over €3 Million from the U2 bass player. Over a four year period between 2004 and 2008, it is believed that various withdrawals were made, ranging from €1,000 to €300,000.

The trial will last for a minimum of four weeks and consists of a jury holding 7 men and 5 women, with judge Patrick Mc Cartan at the helm. U2 manager Paul Mc Guinness was also seen from the gallery at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court yesterday, and is due to give evidence against Carol Hawkins today.
