Following their previous Irish Tour Date at The Grand Canal Theatre in Dublin during May 2012, which completely sold out – fans of Bon Iver will be glad to hear that they shall be returning to Dublin for a brand new Irish Tour Date this November 2012. Music Scene is delighted to reveal that Grammy Award winning act Bon Iver will be stepping it up a notch in an attempt to sell out The O2 in Dublin this time round. Bon Iver will be performing live on stage at The O2 in Dublin on Monday the 12th of November 2012. Bon Iver is the brainchild of singer songwriter Justin Vernon. An American folk band founded in 2007, Bon Iver have since gone on to release two hit studio albums, and are currently working on their third. Following their mighty debut LP release entitled ‘For Emma, Forever Ago’, Bon Iver released their self titled second studio album in June 2011 to critical acclaim. It has been a rollercoaster ride ever since.
With hectic European and US touring schedules taking Bon Iver from city to city over the past 5 years, the band show no signs of slowing down.
First it was For Emma, Forever Ago. The soul in a refraction of icicles. A moment hanging like breath on air. And yet life – even still life – is not still. The story is not a story if it does not unravel. Your eyes you may cast backward, but the heart is locked in the chest and must beat forever forward. Bon Iver, Bon Iver is the frozen beast pressing upward from a loosening earth, one ear cocked to the echo of the ghost choir still singing, the other craving the martial call of drums tumbling, of thrum and wheeze. The desolation smoke has dissipated, cut with strips of brass. Celebration will not be denied, the cabinet cannot contain the rattle, there is meat on the bones.
