Following their critically acclaimed headline concert date at The O2 in Dublin last February, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have officially confirmed a brand new Irish Tour Date. Music Scene is delighted to reveal that Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be performing live on stage at Marlay Park in Dublin this August 2012! This very special live concert date will be a double headliner which sees Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds sharing the stage with Kasabian and The Cribs on Thursday the 23rd of August 2012. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have taken their 16 month tour all over the world this year, returning home this Summer to play UK festivals, including the recent Isle of Wight show which got an amazing response, and not to mention their stunning support slot to Red Hot Chili Peppers at Croke Park on Dublin on June 26th 2012. Now, after garnering a number one album in this country, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are coming to Ireland for this very special Marlay Park Dublin show with friends Kasabian. Kasabian took the world by storm by mixing traces of Stone Roses, Primal Scream, and Oasis with electro -atmospherics, releasing hit single after hit single, producing celebrated albums and becoming a hugely popular live act in the process. The Cribs, described by Q as “the biggest cult band in the UK”, recently released their 5th studio album ‘In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull’ to critical acclaim. The Wakefield band, a trio once more largely recorded the album in New York with MGMT and Flaming Lips producer David Fridmann at his Tarbox Road studio. There were also further recording sessions for The Cribs at Abbey Road in London and with Nirvana and Pixies producer Steve Albini in Chicago.
This stellar line-up will be the biggest treat Irish rock fans will get all Summer!
