Tenacious D have officially confirmed a brand new Irish Tour Date! Music Scene is delighted to reveal that Tenacious D will be bring their Rize Of The Fenix Tour to Dublin’s O2 venue this October. Tenacious D will be performing live on stage at The O2 Dublin on Saturday the 20th of October 2012. Earlier this year Jack Black and Kyle Gass, the rock duo known as Tenacious D, released their long awaited third studio album entitled ‘Rize of the Fenix’. Recorded over the past six years, the record brought Tenacious D back to their roots. “We recorded down and dirty in a friend’s garage with a shoestring budget of 600 dollars, much like Nirvana’s first album ‘Bleach’ – or the Beatles first album ‘Help’. Rough and yet a masterpiece.”

Produced by the brilliant John Kimbrough, Tenacious D‘s Rize Of The Fenix was recorded in the garage behind his LA home and features Jack Black and Kyle Gass (Tenacious D’s core duo), performing with Dave Grohl (drums), John Spiker (bass, piano, organ) and John Konesky (electric guitar). This Tenacious D album was engineered and mixed by John Spiker who has been touring with the band for years.
