Bobby Womack forced to cancel Marlay Park Dublin 2012 performance due to illness!

Music Scene is sad to reveal that the legendary Bobby Womack has been forced to withdraw from his scheduled appearance at Marlay Park in Dublin this Summer 2012 due to illness. Bobby Womack was due to take to the stage as very special guest / support act for Van Morrison along with Tom Jones on Saturday the 25th of August 2012. Promoters MCD have officially confirmed that Irish blues legend Don Baker has been added to the line-up to step in for Bobby Womack live at Marlay Park in Dublin.

Bobby Womack stated: “I send my deepest apologies to my loyal fans around the world, and would like to thank them for their unwavering love, support and well wishes during my stay here at the hospital. Once rescheduled, I’m looking forward to seeing all of you on my upcoming world tour in the fall of 2012, in support of my new album, The Bravest Man In The Universe..”

MCD Promotions wish Bobby Womack a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him perform in Ireland in the not so distant future.

In addition to Don Baker joining the line-up, the promoters are offering a ten euro voucher to all existing ticket purchasers. This voucher can be redeemed against any food or beverage purchases at any of the concession stands throughout the concert arena in Marlay Park on Saturday August 25th 2012.

It has also been announced that a €10 reduction on the concert ticket price has officially been implementd, bringing the cost of tickets for Van Morrison plus special guests Tom Jones & Don Baker live at Marlay Park in Dublin to €49.50 including booking fee. Click here to buy tickets.
