Garda implement heavy Marlay Park Dublin restrictions due to Swedish House Mafia concert incidents!
Following the public disorder offences committed at the Swedish House Mafia concert in The Phoenix Park this summer, An Garda Síochána have warned concert goers who shall be attending the Marlay Park Dublin shows this month that they are cracking down on restrictions for all three gigs. This months Marlay Park concerts feature headline performances from Kasabian, David Guetta and Van Morrison from August 23rd – 25th 2012.
For the David Guetta concert, there have been approximately 400 Garda assigned to the venue for this particular day, along with the private security staff that will be supplied by promoters MCD. Highly trained dogs from the Garda drug unit will also be present at all entry points to the outdoor venue. Anyone who is heavily intoxicated entering the premises will be denied access according to statements issued by An Garda Síochána.
The age restriction on the David Guetta concert has also been set at 17 years, so anyone under 17 who has already purchased a ticket can get a refund from the point of purchase between now and Monday. Denis Desmond of MCD revealed that “under no circumstances” will anyone underage be allowed entry to this show.
