Mumford & Sons unveil new track ‘I Will Wait’ online!
Eagerly anticipated doesn’t even cut it. Mumford & Sons‘ follow up to their 2009 debut ‘Sigh No More’ can only be welcomed by fans worldwide if they continue what they do best – perform some cracking indie folk rock tunes until every string on their well oiled wooden instruments snap. Let’s face it, ‘The Cave’ and ‘Little Lion Man’ have become anthems for a band who basically came out of nowhere, and now they must remain victorious upon delivering some decent new material.
Well, earlier this evening (August 7th 2012) on BBC Radio 1, Huw Stephens sat in for Zane Lowe to unveil the first track to be aired to the public from their second studio album ‘Babel’. Quoted by Mumford & Sons Ben Lovett as being “the worst track on the record”, Mumford & Sons gave fans a taster in the form of track #3 from the LP, entitled ‘I Will Wait’.
We personally think they are right in sticking with that thumping acoustic drive, and ‘I Will Wait’ is a prime example of what is to come from Mumford & Sons in 2012. Check it out for yourself right here on Music Scene.
‘Babel’ by Mumford & Sons will be released here in Ireland on Friday the 21st of September 2012.
