Nominations revealed for 2012 MTV Video Music Awards!

Airing live from The Staples Centre in LA on the 6th of September, the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards is scheduled to take place. Music Scene is delighted to reveal that an extremely talented bunch of well known and very successful artists are in the running with three nominations each, among them Coldplay, Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, M.I.A. and the Throne aka Jay-Z & Kanye West. It is top notch achievement for Rihanna & Drake though, as these hip hop superstars are up for an impressive 5 nominations!

Exciting times too for a few MTV VMA newbies who also got multiple nominations. Acts such as Gotye, Fun, Lana Del Rey, Skrillex and Avicii are among the fresh faces getting on the board. Not too mention Childish Gambino, A$AP Rocky, Imagine Dragons, Of Monsters & Men and The Wanted also being nominated amongst various categories.

Oh, we forgot to mention that One Direction and Alicia Keys are already confirmed to perform live at the ceremony on September 6th!
