Following their sensational run of sold out shows last summer, Boyce Avenue have announced details of their triumphant return to Ireland with dates scheduled for both Dublin and Belfast in 2013.
After a hugely successful run of touring, which saw Boyce Avenue play some of the biggest venues in the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe and Ireland, the band have been off the road for the last year while working on some new material for their upcoming 2nd studio album. At long last however, they’re excited to get back out on the road again as part of a brand new world tour.
Boyce Avenue, a Florida-based band popular for its strong acoustic roots and melodic rock sound, consists of three brothers Alejandro, Fabian, and Daniel Manzano. The brothers first came together as a band in 2004 when Alejandro (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Fabian (guitar, vocals), and their older brother Daniel (bass, percussion, vocals) reconnected after Daniel graduated from Harvard Law School and moved back to Florida where Fabian and Alejandro were both attending classes at the University of Florida. It was there that the brothers continued to write music and to perform local shows, taking their most formative steps toward becoming a band.
In 2007, in an effort to share their music and ideas with the world, the band decided to start filming and posting live performance videos on YouTube, playing their own songs as well as some of their favorite songs by other popular artists. These videos began to resonate instantly with YouTube viewers and to date the band’s YouTube channel has amassed over 1,000,000,000 views – making it one of the most watched of all time.
In 2010 Boyce Avenue released their major label debut album, ‘All We Have Left‘, on Universal Republic records, featuring the single ‘Every Breath‘ with a music video shot by acclaimed director Zach Merck (Blue October, Safetysuit) based on an idea created by the band.
While the band loves connecting with their fans online, nothing pleases them more than getting out and putting on a one of a kind show for as many people as possible.
