The legendary Finbar Furey has officially confirmed a brand new headline Irish tour date scheduled for Vicar Street in Dublin this coming February 2014, due to phenomenal demand. In association with Aiken Promotions, Music Scene is delighted to reveal that Finbar Furey will be performing live on stage at Vicar Street in Dublin on Thursday the 9th and Friday the 10th of January 2014, and now due to phenomenal demand, Thursday the 6th of February 2014 has also been added. Finbar Furey has left his mark on the music of Ireland for more than four decades. As the lead singer, banjo and uillean pipes player for The Fureys, a group he shared with his brothers Eddie, Paul and George he helped to guide the evolution of Ireland’s traditional music. Since leaving the band to pursue a solo career in 1995, Finbar Furey has continued to attract attention with his gutsy approach to the music of the Emerald Isle.
