So, maybe some will come as a surprise and maybe some will absolutely shock you… but from our perspective, we kind of expected the #1 slot to be filled by Coldplay in all fairness, but where’s U2 and Oasis eh? Quite baffling! We’re happy to see Arctic Monkeys in the Top 10 though! To celebrate ‘International Day of Rock N Roll‘ which marks the anniversary of the historic 1985 Live Aid gig in London (July 13th), the below Spotify rankings are based on the amount of streams each artist has achieved in the first half of 2017… and it looks like this:

1. Coldplay
2. Twenty One Pilots
3. The Beatles
4. Linkin Park
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers
6. Panic! A The Disco
7. Metallica
8. Arctic Monkeys
9. Queen
10. Fall Out Boy
11. Green Day
12. AC/DC
13. Pink Floyd
14. Blink-182
15. Paramore
16. Guns N’ Roses
17. Nirvana
18. The Rolling Stones
19. The 1975
20. Kings of Leon

Good news for Coldplay as they have also just released their latest EP entitled ‘Kaleidoscope‘ – go and give it a listen.
